Big big fun

This is a tremendous demo! The animation is smooth, the interaction is easy yet challenging, and the whole thing is hilarious. The epic battle at the end is very well done! I can't wait to see a larger version of this game, which I'm sure will prevent me from doing any work for hours. Great work, great scripting, keep it up!

60K gold

This has got to be one of the best 60k games ever. It's challenging, fun to play, and horribly addictive. Very good -- or bad, if you want to get work done.

Could have been better

You should write a simple function to keep it from asking the same questions over and over, because that gets annoying. And you got the math wrong; it doubles the number of wrong answers, so that if you get one question out of 20 wrong it says you got 90 percent right, and if you get four wrong it says you got 60 percent right. Each question should only count for five percent, not ten.

But decent format, okay graphics, good sound. You should have some different random right and wrong graphics too -- that would make it way more interesting.

It does add 5 points you dumbass, I know that 5x20 is 100, it adds 5 points for each correct question... moron

Satisfying

It was pretty okay. I'd like to see more, as in: different people to run over, moving at different speeds; some levels, where it gets harder and obstacles (like lampposts or trees or parked cars) increase; and different backgrounds (for the different levels). It wouldn't be hard, considering how you've already got the movement and collision functions up and running.

The music was great, though, and the gradual increase of blood on the hood was a nice touch. Could you do that on the back, too? I like backing over them!

Those are some pretty good ideas for a sequel. You should expect to see them when I make one. :)

Hard to control

Man, that board is really unresponsive. I too think that the controls should be up-down instead of left-right, but the real problem is with the board's incredibly slow banking. If an obstacle appears on the left directly in front of you, even if you begin turning immediately you can hardly miss it -- and if you're going in one direction, switching direction takes way too long. You can turn faster by hitting Gary than you can by hitting the arrow keys. It's not how real boards behave, and it just makes the game frustrating. Very ho-hum gameplay.

Hmm

I still think it's harder than it should be -- and the logs kept appearing at random places in the middle of the screen, which made them impossible to avoid. It would also help if he were smaller on the screen; the character takes up like a quarter of the entire gameplay area. Would this run more slowly and better on a slow computer?

Good music, though. I liked that.

Not that great

The programming was good. But the screen was tiny, especially on NG where you can't resize; the ship took some getting used to, since the forward-swept wings make it always look like it was facing the opposite way; and there was no function to check the area for asteroids for your new ship appearance, so that after you're killed you can be killed instantly again if there's an asteroid in the center of the screen. And, I think you should have used arrow keys and ASD keys too -- trying to control all seven defensive, offensive and movement functions with one hand is a pain. Also, at this size and with monochrome wireframes the 3D look added nothing. It was only interesting in the intro section.

Decent programming, but a very ho-hum remake.

That little guy shure kin move

This is a fun game with excellent playability! A few sounds could make it really great -- like a little "whoosh" every time you click and he takes off. And the different levels should have different things you have to get, like maybe different kinds of gems. But this version is pretty fun. Good work!

Not nearly as bad as most dress-up games

There were a couple of layer problems (like the clown pants being -behind- Pico), but the art on all the characters and clothes were good. I'd like some way to switch the music, or at least turn it off.

But overall, fun to play and good costumes!

Masonogy1 responds:

Thankyou! I had problems on the music area! I am an amature when it comes to actionscript! lol! Sorry about that!

Very addictive

It's a fine game that's easy to play and difficult to master. I especially like that you can shoot at both your opponent to paralyze him and the ball to knock it around. Much fun!
